Jeff talks to Teen Vogue about Young Men and Masculinity today

Someone pointing out a problem isn’t the problem. In this time of divides we need bridge builders, and that means addressing and facing hard truths.

Some labels these times as an era of ‘gender wars’, but it is a conversation of us not ‘us versus them’. Part of the problem is that too many young men are grasping onto outdated and limiting ideas of manhood as a way forward.

Men like Donald Trump – The Televangelist of Toxic Masculinity – suggests that Men embrace ruthlessness to dominate and hold power over others. The truth is that Manosphere voices like his try to take advantage of the state many men and young men are in. We are his prey.

Our success as guys doesn’t have to come at the expense of women and gender-expansive people’s voices, bodies, self-autonomy and lives. This isn’t just about their futures being at risk, but ours as well. It is a conversation of us.

Rather than measure of a man by what he can demonstrate, own, or produce, we can measure a man by how he serves, how he gives, and how he lives.

Rejecting Trump’s hate and divisiveness can be the Omega of the ‘Alpha Male’, and the hope for an new era of freedom for people of all genders.

I talked to Teen Vogue about young men embracing helpful ideas of manhood leading up to the 2024 US election.
